History

The physicians at Union County Orthopaedic Group have been the trusted choice for referring physicians and their patients since l966. That was the year Dr. Morton Farber opened his orthopaedic surgery practice in Elizabeth. He provided high-quality orthopaedic care along with a genuine neighborly concern for patientsŐ well being. Dr. Walter Pedowitz became his partner in 1978. Meanwhile, Dr. John Kline had begun his orthopaedic practice in Linden in 1977. In 1981, these two practices were combined to create a premier orthopaedic practice with comprehensive capabilities.

Our team is made up of 7 physicians all board certified in either orthopaedic surgery, physical therapy and rehabilitation or pain management. The entire team continues to follow the same practice philosophy set forth by Dr. Farber over four decades ago: put the patient first by providing honest, focused and compassionate care.
