Shoulder Fracture in Union, NJ

Fractures to one or more bones that comprise the shoulder are known as a Shoulder Fracture. Most Shoulder Fractures occur as a result of a direct trauma such as a sports injury, motor vehicle accident or a slip and fall.

Shoulder Fractures are classified into two separate types:

Displaced: In this form of fracture the pieces of the fractured bone may have traveled into other areas of the shoulder.

Non-displaced: In this form of fracture pieces of the fractured bone remain in the area of the fracture and have not traveled into other areas of the shoulder.

Fortunately, 80% of Shoulder Fractures are non-displaced fractures.
