Hip Instability in Union, NJ

May experience episodes of giving way, catching or locking of the hip joint with radiating pain into the groin or buttock area.

Can be secondary to dysplastic (shallow) bony anatomy, tears of the labrum, or laxity of the capsule and surrounding ligaments.

Treatment is usually conservative and includes rest, medication and therapy, but occasionally may require additional work up with MRI and possible injections or arthroscopic evaluation.
