Mina Abdelshahed, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at Union County Orthopaedic Group, recently performed the first shoulder replacement surgery in New Jersey, using a new groundbreaking technology by Exactech. The surgery, which was performed at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway, used the ExactechGPS Guided Personalized Surgery application. This system allows a more precise placement of a shoulder implant when doing a total shoulder replacement.
