A patient, knowledgeable therapist

I have been experiencing persistent lower back pain for a while and was in search of a physical therapist. A friend of mine recommended OrthoNJ Physical Therapy. I called ahead to confirm insurance details. I spoke with Ms. Rivas and was told I could attend up to 8 sessions before needing a referral. Based on that, I scheduled my first appointment for the following week. However, when I arrived and began filling out paperwork, the physical therapist informed me that I actually did need a doctor’s script up front in order for my insurance to cover anything. This contradicted what I was told over the phone. I was then forced to scramble and secure a last-minute appointment with my PCP to get the script—only to find out the therapist wouldn’t be able to see me for another week. This miscommunication cost me time, energy, and delayed care I genuinely needed. I expected more accuracy and professionalism, especially when dealing with something as critical as insurance requirements for medical treatment.

Been coming to Dr Ropiak for many of years. He is truly a Doctor who cares. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Been with a few other Doctors in the facility with myself and family members and they are also caring as well. A great group of Doctors and they work well with each other.

Katie was Amazing! Delicately and accurate when removing my sutures (not painful at all and mi e where buried!) and so professional! Thank you Katie.

The receptionist was professional and helpful. Gene Imbemba PA was thorough and comforted my fear of fractured hip or hairline fracture in my thigh. Yes, I have arthritis but this was a muscle. I can not take an anti-inflammatory cause of a cyst in my left kidney. He prescribed a gel. He even knew Medicare would not pay for it. I also will be returning to Holsman Rehab for the hamstring. He is definitely a keeper. My follow-up already scheduled with 7/29/2025 12:50 with Mark N. Ghobrial that has me walking in my bad knees.

Dr. Mackessy is an amazing doctor. He’s very professional, compassionate, that takes time to listen to the concerns of his patients. He’s just one in a million 😊🙏🏼. Awesome…..

I was able to get an appointment two days after calling the Union County office. I couldn’t been happier! The staff is friendly and accommodating. Dr. Rojer is very knowledgeable always professional and empathetic, He does seem to be in a little rush to get to the next patient. But he tries to answer all your questions & has all necessary equipment in the office.
