Cervicalgia in Union, NJ

(Neck Pain)

Cervicalgia (more commonly referred to as neck pain) is categorized by dull or aching pain in the cervical spine area and does not radiate into the upper extremities. In many instances, this pain can come about suddenly after activity or overexertion.

One of the primary symptoms that patients with Cervicalgia experience are neck spasms and stiffness of the muscles of the neck. This is generally worse in the morning and may persist throughout the day. This pain may be intermittent or persistent depending on the injury.

It is important to seek medical attention if you are experiencing neck pain as this is often a symptom of a more severe condition such as a herniated disc or slipped disc.

Signs and symptoms of Cervicalgia may include:

  • Intermittent pain or persistent pain in the neck
  • Stiffness of the neck
  • Limited range of motion
  • Sensitivity to touch in the neck
  • Muscle spasms
