Failed Back and Neck Syndrome

Failed Back and Neck (Surgery) Syndrome is a condition in which chronic or increased spinal pain is experienced after a spine surgical procedure. Although most patients benefit from spine surgical procedures, some patients may experience this condition despite proper surgical techniques.

Some of the factors that lead to Failed Back and Neck Syndrome can include:

  • Surgical hardware irritating the spine
  • Excessive scar tissue formation
  • Bone and tissue not healing properly
  • The original condition recurring

It is important to seek medical attention if you suspect Failed Back and Neck Syndrome as the pain or degenerative process may worsen if left untreated.
